Position Description:
The Office Administrator (OA) provides clerical and administrative support to the pastor, council and ministry teams. The OA is the first line of welcome to our members and neighborhood and will warmly greet people with Christian hospitality. The OA is responsible for the efficient daily management of the office and will recognize matters that involve confidentiality. The OA works 15 hours a week and reports to the pastor. Pay rate is $13 per hour and may be adjusted based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Clerical
- Receptionist for office—greet and assist visitors, check email and phone messages, relay messages as needed maintaining confidential information. Daily mail pick-up and distribution.
- Prepare printed material for congregation including weekly worship bulletins, monthly newsletter, annual congregational report and other letters as needed. This includes maintaining accurate calendar of church activities.
- Prepare and send electronic communication with congregation
- Maintain church records including electronic database, Parish register, council minutes and ministry team reports.
- Monitor and order office, cleaning, and church supplies as needed including copier toner.
- Record and keep accounts of income and expenses
- Process and prepare checks for Treasurer to sign
- Run monthly financial reports and distribute to council
- Submit payroll to accountant for processing

- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to use and learn computer programs for church database, accounting software and email communication.
- Basic knowledge of financial record keeping
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to work with a variety of members on various project and to maintain a good working relationship.
- Ability to work independently
